Abstract
The present work aims to unveil the impact of binding summary no. 25 of the Brazilian Federal Supreme Court. To this end, it verifies the equivalence of binding precedents as the primary source of law, as well as analyzing compliance with the legal requirements for their publication. It then devotes attention to the material content of this summary, which establishes supralegal status to international human rights treaties and prevents the arrest of the unfaithful depositary.
